Format
naics_codes
A data frame with 11,186 rows and 15 columns:
- year
Year of NAICS version. One of 2022, 2017, 2012, 2007, or 2002.
- code
The full NAICS code.
- code_title
A short description of the NAICS code.
- code_type
The type of NAICS code. One of Sector, Subsector, Industry Group, NAICS Industry, or National Industry. Corresponds to codes with character lengths of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, respectively.
- code_desc
A longer description of what types of businesses and industries are included in the NAICS code.
- code_cross_ref
Additional descriptive information of what types of businesses and industries are included in the NAICS code.
- change_desc
Supplementary information if the code title or industries included in the code have changed since the previous version of NAICS.
- trilateral_agreement
If code is included in the trilateral agreement between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to be included in each country's industry classification.
- code_sector
The two-digit sector of the code.
- ces_supersector_code
The supersector code for the NAICS industry used by the BLS Current Employment Statistics (CES).
- qcew_supersector_code
The supersector code for the NAICS industry used by the BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW).
- ces_domain_code
The domain (goods-producing vs. service-producing) code used by the BLS Current Employment Statistics (CES).
- qcew_domain_code
The domain (goods-producing vs. service-producing) code used by the BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW).
- supersector_title
A short description of the supersector for the NAICS code.
- domain_title
One of Goods-Producing vs. Service-Producing
